The fabric is stiff. It's very wide and loose on the bust area. It might partly be because I'm on the short side 5'2 that the upper body is long on me so the fabric squeezes up when i tie the belt, but the design of this dress is obviously without consideration for people who don't have a model physique. I ordered size 4 with a 26" waist and a 105 lb weight, which is about right around the waist, but the upper body is so loose and the skirt is so wide that I looked stupidly pudgy in this dress. I bought more than 10 DVF wrap dresses this year ranging from size 2 to 8---- I sometimes order larger size because I wash them so they shrink----and this dress is the first one no matter how i tried to make it work it just wouldn't look good. I've washed it hoping it would shrink a bit and therefore fit better on the bust, but no such luck. A tall and very slim person was what the designer had in mind when she made the dress.
