I enjoy "wild animal" prints. This "wild print" is not only flattering but is a classic style. This Lafayette 148 garment is qunitessential Lafayette in that it runs a little large compared to most designers, and that it is exceptionally tailored. The color on this jacket is expresso which is not a stark black and white. Also, the lines on the jacket are nonlinear which is more flattering to the figure that linear. The sleeve cuffs are also able to be easily cuffed because of the extra brown hem cord lining two inches higher than the bottom of the sleeve. As far as the fit, I too am an hourglass figue and the shoulders fit me fine. The wool jacket is not lined and therefore is considered lightweight. January 20, 2013
Beautiful quality/construction creates a very flattering long line. That said, I ordered a size larger to fit my C/D cup and waist which resulted in a fit a bit too wide on the shoulder and cuffs requiring shortening. Worth paying for alterations. October 19, 2012
