About Magnanni: In 1954, Sebastian Blanco Aldomar opened a small shoemakers' workshop on the first floor of his house in Almansa, Spain. Today, Magnanni is still a family business run by Sebastian's son and grandchildren and is still based in Almansa. And though the business has grown from a five-person workshop in Sebastian's home to a 7,000-square-meter facility that employs 200 artisans, the family's principles remain true to their founder's traditions as they continue to create exceptional, handcrafted shoes.
From the outset, each Magnanni shoe is a work of art that perfectly combines comfort and style. The leathers used are carefully inspected and chosen for their quality and beauty (most are from tanneries in France, Italy, and Spain). They are then finished and colored by hand to create a unique, rich color. Once the leather is ready, each shoe is last by hand. This labor-intensive procedure of fitting the leather over a form ensures superior comfort and flexibility. The lasts themselves (the forms on which the shoes are shaped) are all made by Magnanni to ensure that the finished shoe fits well and offers the design, comfort, and support for which Magnanni is renowned.

Shoes looked great but the sizing was much smaller than other Magnanni shoes. I had previoulsy bought 2 pairs of Magnanni shoes size 11 and they fit perfectly. However, the sizing for this pair was much smaller. The size 11 seems more like a size 10. So, I had to return it. Too bad they did not have size 12 in stock or else, would have tried them, and bought them if they fit. January 7, 2013
beautiful high quality leather, sleek design, will last a long time with proper care... takes a while to "break-in" but the comfort is worth the effort!! December 18, 2012
