Those boots were a great surprise. I used them for a recent trip to NY city and guess what.... I have no time to break in the boots so I take them with me use them and have no problem. They were very comfortable for long walks. look very high quality!
In a few words love them. And I am petite and the shaft of this boots were perfect for me!

After trying on many boots in stores...my daughter saw these boots online and we ordered them. She loved them and they are going to keep her warm as she walks all over campus. She ordered her normal shoe size and can wear them with socks too. The adjustable calf part is great to make room to tuck in pants or to allow for more room if your calf muscles grow from exercising...which can happen to teenagers. Plus there's no buckle at the ankle part to get caught in the hem of your pants.

The picture here doesn't do these boots justice. The leather is rich and expensive looking. The shape of the toe is classic. They have a slight military feel. The way the inset leather crosses on the sides of the calves is very flattering to the leg. My calves are on the small side, 13 1/2, and this boot is a great fit for my calves - also easy to adjust for wearing skinny pants inside the boot. I think the adjustable straps would be great for a variety of calf sizes. The detail on the back is also flattering. They're omfortable. My standard size had just a bit of extra room in it, which was just right for wear with socks.
