The shoe does fit small. I'm usually a 8.5 but had to get a 9. I do not recommend these for anyone with slightly wider calves. My legs are on the slim side and these wrap quite tightly around them. The leather is not buttery soft but it's supple enough and the coloring is a little blotchy if you look very closely. Otherwise, it's a lovely pair of classic boots with a modern twist. Love the versatile and sleek design. Both the heel height and shape makes walking very comfortable. March 5, 2013

I bought these in black, they were gorgeous and I loved them. They zipped up beautifully with nothing under them, however when I paired them with tights the left leg was quite snug but I was able to get it zipped. The zipper immediately split. It was ridiculous, I am shocked at the lack of quality. I'll never get my money back, just a gift card so I guess I will see about having the zipper replaced. Very unhappy. January 11, 2013

The leather is beautiful, the color is a rich color. I would not recommend if you have thicker calves and feet since they are narrow on the foot and calf area. But if you do have narrow feet and legs like me they are perfect. They also run a little small like most Italian shoes do. I usually wear a 7.5 but the size 8 fit me perfectly. December 28, 2012

I was so excited when these arrived, thinking I had scored a great deal....well, let me first say, I'm 5'5", 125 and these boots nearly pinched my calves as I struggled to zip them up (but were very loose at the ankle). The leather is very hard, not supple as I would've expected. The leather color is streaky and the zipper quality isn't even good. If I didn't know better since its NM, I'd think these were a knockoff. So disappointed, and yes, they'll be going back. October 25, 2012
