I was looking for a lace-up flat boot to wear with everyday looks, with skinny jeans, shorts, skirts, leggings, and/or dresses. I am tall, 5'8", with very long legs, and thin ankles and calves, so this boot did not look as cute on me as I was hoping :(. It has a very wide ankle area and was an awkward height, not all the way up to my knee, nor mid-calf, both of which would have been acceptable to me. I had to return and will remain on the hunt :(. i just recently discovered Vintage Shoe Company. I am a stickler good leather, and they use some of the nicest leather i've ever seen on a shoe. The Eunice boot is SO SOFT. And it is completely leather lined- it is double leather. And i just realized that means WARM IN WINTER! Also, the shaft is quite wide- great if you have thick calves like me. Ok now the bad news: they are a very narrow shoe, but oddly the ankle area is HUGE! However, since the leather is such good quality and soft, they have stretched to be comfortable. The big ankle though i may need to take to a cobbler. but all in all, a beautiful, soft boot. November 17, 2012
